Dear Camp Whitley Supporter:

We are so excited about the upcoming summer and the fun that lies ahead for so many children throughout our area and beyond. Mark Parker will be returning to Camp again this year and he continues to come up with new ideas and events for all our young and enthusiastic campers. Our upcoming Camp season will be starting off with our annual Tinkham’s 5K Trail Fun Run/Walk, Breakfast and Open House on June 9, 2012. Registration and more information are found on our website at www.campwhitley.com. This is an event to help raise funds for Camp upkeep, operations and scholarships.

There are so many ways to support Camp and we would appreciate any help that you desire to provide. A few of those support opportunities are the following:

Adopt a Camper. This is such a wonderful program for Camp. Those children that cannot afford the Camp fee may apply for scholarships which pay for all but $50.00 of the fee. We rely on outside contributions to meet our needs in providing these scholarships to the children. Last year we had over 25 scholarship campers and we know that those numbers may increase this year. Please help to give a young child an experience that they will take with them forever. Scholarship donations are $285.00 per camper and you can designate the camper or we will apply your generous donation to one of the many scholarship applications. Download the Adopt a Camper Form

Sponsor the 5K Race/Walk. Sponsors for the 5K Race/W alk will be featured on the Race’s T-Shirt. Monies will go to necessary Camp projects and operating expenses. If you are interested in being a 5K sponsor, please contact Brian Bills at 260-248-2930, by email at bbills@embarqmail.com or by completing the enclosed sponsor form and returning it to Camp Whitley at P.O. Box 845, Columbia City, Indiana 46725. Download the 5k Race/Walk Application.

Donate to Camp for Immediate Needs. We always appreciate any donations that you are willing to make. Funds are used for the continuous upkeep of Camp, maintenance, and staffing. As you can imagine, trying to maintain all the cabins, buildings, trails and equipment is quite an undertaking - let alone trying to find the funds to provide quality entertainment, athletic and boating supplies for our campers. Please see the attached donation form should you desire to give to Camp now for its immediate needs. Download the Immediate Needs Donation Form

Give In-Kind. If you desire to donate an item or items in-kind, please contact Marcia McNagny at 260- 248-2224 or Mark Parker at 260-229-0624. Yes, we have a Wish List!! Donate to the Whitley County Community Foundation for Camp Whitley. You can donate directly to the Whitley County Community Foundation for the endowment fund established for Camp Whitley. These thoughtful gifts can be made during your lifetime or testamentarily via your Will or Trust. Please contact the Whitley County Community Foundation at 260-244-5224 for more information regarding these types of gifts.
